ABOUT THE ARTIST
My father spent the majority of his career working for Polaroid Corporation. Thus, my early introduction to photography. In my late teens, I had the honor of meeting Dr. Edwin Land, the creator of in-camera Instant Photography and co-founder of Polaroid. The impact of this meeting, for me was profound. This along with my dad being a Quality Control Technician for the company and his obsession with the technical side of photography drove an early appreciation and passion for the craft.
One constant for me over the years has been a focus on breathing life into the images I create using composition, light and form. One’s ability to communicate pre-visualized thoughts or ideas is the foundation for a photographic journey. At the forefront of this journey is perspective. An artist’s ability to uniquely position or juxtapose a subject to create a heightened sense of interest can enhance any image.
